Hitchens was a raging asshole who called the Dixie Chicks sluts and “fucking fat slags” and arrogantly cheerled the greatest tragedy of our lives: Iraq.
Fuck him and may he rot in hell.
(Ironic, I know.)

Are the Dixie Chicks your favorite nieces or something? I mean, so what. And Iraq is far from the greatest tragedy of our lives, although a tragedy it is. I strongly disagree with Hitch’s position here as well, but can hardly throw him out the window for this one stance when virtually everything else he did is indispensable.
