Last week was very busy and I apologize for not posting at all…

Last Sunday I went to The National here in RVA and saw The Mickey Hart Band. I’ve been a Dead fan since middle school and try to see the different members when they come through my area.

I’d never seen just Mickey Hart on his own and was very happy with the show. The structure was that of  a Dead show – Set1 into drums/space and Set2 followed by an encore. They played some Dead tunes and some Mickey originals. I was happy to hear Samson and Delilah, China/Rider, Scarlet Begonias, a very nice That’s It For The Other One and Brokedown Palace for the first encore. In between was Mickey and his band with an amazing female lead singer, Crystal Monee Hall, playing their own tunes.

It was cool to have a good view of Mickey…
